Italy

I am back from my whirlwind of adventures in Italy! On my a little under 2 week vacation in Italy I visited Rome, The Vatican, Sorrento, Capri, Venice, Milan and Florence and I had a great time! In addition to having fun, I of course enjoyed a lot of good food! My favourite had to be the Italian style thin crust pizzas and I had more than a few of them while I was there. I also enjoyed a lot of good pastas and I gorged myself on gelato including a surprisingly tasty gorgonzola gelato.

For those that are interested you can see more of my adventures in Italy here:

For all of the Canadians reading this: I hope that you had a great Thanksgiving weekend! I have updated my sidebar to add some ideas for using those Thanksgiving leftovers. More to come on my Thanksgiving meal later on in the week.

Time to get cooking!

Italy is next on my quest to revisit. The last time I was there I was 18. I trust you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Kvin. There seems to be so much to be thankful for.

So jealous – cannot wait to go to Europe and EAT. I'm an avid photographer as well, so it'll be a packed trip of the senses for me when I go.

Glad you had a great time in Italy. My husband and I went there 3 years ago (to all of the towns you went to) and adored it! Capri, Positano and Florence were our favourites. I made your Cheesy Mushroom dip over the Thanksgiving weekend and it got rave reviews.

Diana: I made a green pastitsio a while ago and really enjoyed it. A more traditional version of pastitsio is definitely on my list as well!

Kevin, you inspire me! Both to get into the kitchen and cook and to see more of the world, its people, and eat its fabulous food. Italy is my dream trip. Being Greek-American, I also love seeing your take on the classic recipes. Keep up the great work.
