Cajun Honey Mustard Sauce

A sweet and spicy honey mustard sauce with Cajun style herbs and spices!

Honey mustard sauce is one of my favourites! There is just something magical about the combination of the sweet honey, spicy mustard and tangy vinegar! This version is a slight variation where a Cajun spice blend is mixed in adding a ton of flavour! This Cajun honey mustard sauce works amazingly well as a dressing or vinaigrette and a marinade in addition to being a great sauce!

Cajun Honey Mustard Sauce

Prep Time: 5 minutes Total Time: 5 minutes Servings: 16

A sweet and spicy honey mustard sauce with Cajun style herbs and spices!

ingredients
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
  • 1/4 cup dijon mustard *
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1-2 tablespoon cajun seasoning (link)
directions
  1. Mix everything well!
Option: * Use your favourite type of mustard. I like a combination of Dijon and grainy mustard.
Option: Replace the honey with maple syrup.
Option: Add 1 clove of minced/grated garlic.
Option: Replace half of the oil with mayonnaise for a creamy dressing!
Note: This works well as a sauce, dressing and marinade!
Note: Store in the fridge and use within a few days.
