Creamy Ranch Dill Pickle Dip

[heart_this] · Feb 3, 2025 · 3 Comments

Creamy Ranch Dill Pickle Dip

A hot melted cheese dip with ranch seasoning and plenty of dill pickle chunks!

I’m a big fan of dill pickles and they work well in snacks such as dill pickle chips, fried dill pickles and this dip pickle dip! This is a hot melted cheese dip with a base of cream cheese, mozzarella, parmesan, mayo and sour cream along with plenty of chopped chunks of dill pickles! (I like to add a hit of ranch seasoning to kick up the flavour!) This dip is as easy to make as mixing everything and either enjoying it at room temperature or baking it until the cheese is all melted, ooey, gooey and good! You can change things up in a number of ways with some of my favourites being: adding red pepper flakes for a spicy dill pickle version, topping the dip with panko breadcrumbs for a crispy fried pickle version, adding bacon, etc.! No matter how you make it, this ranch dill pickle dip is the perfect snack for game day!

Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 20 minutes Total Time: 30 minutes Servings: 4

A hot melted cheese dip with ranch seasoning and plenty of dill pickle chunks!

ingredients
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup parmigiano reggiano (parmesan cheese), grated
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ranch seasoning*
  • 1 cup dill pickle, diced
  • 1 tablespoon dill, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried dill)
directions
  1. Mix everything, place in a baking dish and bake in a preheated 350F/180C oven until the sides are bubbling and the top is golden brown, about 20-30 minutes.
Option: *Store bought or make your own with: 1 teaspoon dried parsley, 1 teaspoon dried chives, 1 teaspoon dried dill, 1 teaspoon onion powder, and 1 teaspoon garlic powder.
Option: Add 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes for a spicy dill pickle dip!
Option: Add 2 tablespoons pickle brine (from the pickle jar)!
Option: Replace the mayonnaise, sour cream, and ranch seasoning with 3/4 cup of ranch dressing (link).
Option: Add 1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded.
Option: Add 4 ounces bacon, cooked and crumbled!
Option: Mix 2 tablespoons melted butter with 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs and 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and sprinkle on top before baking! This gives the crunchy aspect making the dip more like crispy fried pickles!
Option: Double the recipe!
Option: This dip is also good unbaked, just mix all of the room temperature ingredients and enjoy!
Slow Cooker: Mix everything, place in a slow cooker and cook until the cheese is nice and melted about 1-2 hours on HIGH or 2-4 hours on LOW.
