Chicken shawarma is a dish that I never get tired of! When you get it at the store it generally comes in a wrap or on rice and this is a quick and easy one-skillet of chicken shawarma rice. This recipe starts out by browning chicken before adding onions, garlic, homemade shawarma seasoning (link), rice and chicken broth and cooking until the rice is done. Both the chicken and the rice are infused with the shawarma seasoning flavours and they go perfectly with your favourite shawarma toppings/fillings such as: cucumber, tomatoes, olives, pickled red onions (link), shawarma sauce (link), hummus (link), etc.
