Smash Burger Tacos

Smash Burger Tacos

Smashed burgers served taco style with the beef smashed onto the tortillas, smashed into a pan and cooked until the beef and tortillas are golden brown, before topping with your favourite burger toppings!

I have been seeing smash burger tacos all over the place and I just had to try them! The basic idea of this recipe is that you take some ground beef, smash it into a pan, like a smash burger, top it with a tortilla, and cook until the beef is golden brown, before flipping and cooking until the tortilla is crispy. The tortilla is then topped with toppings and enjoyed, folded, taco style. These smash burger tacos are super easy to make! I find it easiest to spread the beef over the tortillas in a thin layer, season the top as desired, and smash it into the pan to cook. When I flip the patties to cook the tortillas I sprinkle cheese on top, cover and let the cheese melt at the same time! I serve these with burger toppings: lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, and mustard, and I like shred and finely dice them, like taco toppings! You can use use any toppings that you want!

This cooking style can be used to make many different variations such as:
Tacos – season the beef with taco seasoning and top with taco fillings!
Breakfast tacos – use sausage instead ground beef and top with eggs, etc.

Just made this for lunch! Well, definitely I will use the Street Taco size tortillas for me…this was huge but delish!
It was fast, fun, cleaner than just frying a burger! I try not to buy buns cuz they go to waste and always have tortillas! Thanks for this idea!
